Awesome Stuff Week stands as a captivating series of week-long celebrations, showcasing a curated array of popular, trending, and yet-to-be-discovered but undeniably cool products on YouTube, aligning with significant shopping events throughout the year. As the holiday season unfolded, we embarked on the creation of an impressive 50 videos, strategically timed for release on creators' channels over a span of two weeks, coinciding with the prime shopping season.
To weave a coherent narrative throughout these videos, we crafted animated video bumpers that seamlessly encapsulate the festive essence of the Awesome Stuff Week Holiday edition. The anticipation is palpable in each animated transition, effectively tying together the diverse array of content.
A standout example comes in the form of Lewis' Unwrapped video, an electrifying production that takes center stage. This high-octane, action-packed video revolves around an ultimate ice-hockey smartphone gauntlet. To bring this concept to life, five Samsung Galaxy S6 Actives were procured, undergoing an intense five-on-five hockey scrimmage to assess the robustness of this high-durability device when employed as the puck.
In a different creative direction, the iJustine video emerged with its distinctive stop-motion style. Leveraging VFX magic, iJustine embarked on the construction of two Star Wars LEGO sets—the iconic Poe's X-Wing Fighter and the formidable First Order Special Forces TIE Fighter. Through deft visual effects, these LEGO marvels were brought to life, bridging the gap between the realm of imagination and reality.
